Besides these kind of activities there was some exhibition for handicraft even traditional Turkish folk dance- folk music- folk costumes from the different region part of Turkey.
It names of the dancers in the group continuously change as graduating students leave town and new students replace them. The experienced help the newcomers master the moves and in doing so assure the continuation of a tradition here.Turkish folk dances and folk music create one of our traditions which, for centuries, was the most effective means of national feelings and culture. As a geographical, historical and cultural phenomenon, our folk dances and our music work, emerging in a variety of forms and of very rich character in different regions, are considered to be a cultural treasure.

The number of our folk dances performed and folk songs sung reaches almost ten thousand that are observed in weddings, gatherings, festivals, friendship meetings, association meetings, seymenlik (performance of young men armed in national costume who take part in a wedding procession/festivals) ceremonies, various seasonal recreations, holidays and in many other traditional activities.

The ‘’dance ‘’ of the Whirling Dervishes is called Sema.Sema is a part of the inspiration of Mevlana as well as part of the Turkish costom,history,beliefs and culture.

Sema is part inspiration of Mevlana Celaleddin –i Rumi (1207-1273)as well as of turkish custom, history ,beliefs and culture.

From a scientific viewpoint we wittness that contemporarty science definitely confirms thet the fundamental condition of our existence is to revolve.There is no object,no being which does not revolve and the shared similarity among beings is the revolutions of the electrons,protons and noutrons in the atoms,which constitite the structure of each of them.

As a consequence of this similarity ,everything revolves and man carries on his live ,his very existence by means of the revolution of the electron in the atoms ,structural stones of his body,by the revolution of his blood, by his coming from the earth and return to it, by his his revolving with earth itself.

However, all of these are natural ,unconscious revolutions .But man is possessor of a mind and intelligence which distinguishes him from and makes him superior to other being.Thus the ‘’Whirling Dervish’’ or Semazen couses the mind to perticipate in the shared similarity and revolution of all other beings…Otherwise ,the Sema ceremony represents a mystical journey of man’s spirspiritual ascent througt mind and love to ’’ Perfect’’Turning towards the truth,his growth through love, desert his ego ,find the truth and arrive to the ‘Perfect ‘ then he return from his spiritual journey as a man who reached maturity and a greater perfection, so as to love and to be of service to the whole of creation ,to all creatures without discrimination of believes ,races, classes and nations.
